Amazon Takes Major San Diego Industrial Space Amid Rising E-Commerce Demand
Amazon has leased more than a half million square feet of industrial space in the San Diego suburb of Poway, California, in one of the largest lease deals by square footage ever in the region. It brings the e-commerce giant's total of new lease deals signed in the area in the past year to about 3.4 million square feet amid heightening demand for delivery of goods ordered online.
Apple Leases Fourth San Diego Office for Expanding Workforce
Tech giant Apple has leased a fourth full building in San Diego, bringing its total office footprint to more than 650,000 square feet in just the past year as the iPhone maker ramps up its local workforce. CoStar and brokerage data shows that Cupertino, California-based Apple leased the full 196,734 square feet at 16620 W. Bernardo Drive, where it plans to move in October.
